Gran Fondo Napa Charity Bike Ride Fundraiser for the Marine Mammal Center in Marin

Our Marine Mammals are our counter parts in our oceans, without them, our own existence may be threatened.

Sponsor me in the charity fundraiser “Grand Fondo” bike ride to raise support for the Marine Mammal Center. A mere $10.00 will provide a meal for a rescued seal patient at the center.

The center rescues marine mammals for a variety of reasons. Some are injured, while others are harmed by human interaction or hazards, and many are simply separated from their mothers. The mammals rescued are immediately off our shores of California, ranging from Mendocino County in the north to San Luis Obispo in the south. Since their inception, the volunteer staff has reused and treated over 17,000 seals, sea lions, dolphins, harbor porpoises and more in their hospital facility.

The center provides education and communicate a sense of responsibility of the connection between the marine environment and ourselves. Each year they reach out to over 30,000 children and adults.

Your Help Counts, Make a Difference!

Only 3 more days left to “Make a Difference” by making a donation to the Marine Mammal Center via my charity bike ride (Gran Fondo Napa).

Echelon Gran Fondo is a European cycling event held on epic courses in a destination location. The riders will be escorted by the professional cycling team Garmin Barracuda. The event will have a party “Tour de France stage” atmosphere with sponsor tents, photographers, police escort, food, drinks and even get chased by Elvis as the riders leave town.

This years Gran Fondo course starts at the Plaza in Sonoma. From there it will head east to the Carneros Wine Region, then north along the west side of Napa, through Dry Creek, then up Trinity Grade, and down to Glen Ellen. At Glen Ellen the ride heads west to loop around the Sonoma Mountains before returning to the Plaza in Sonoma. The route is 75 mile with over 6500 feet of elevation change.
