How to Remove a Cottage Cheese Stain.
How to Remove a Cottage Cheese Stain.
YUM! Cottage Cheese is among my favorite diet foods. It is high in calcium and low in calories, even less calories if I ware it as oppose to eating it. Perhaps I can start a new fashion trend. Quick! Call the fashion house of Gianni Versace or Giorgio Armani.
None the less if we need to remove the cottage cheese stain follow the step by step instructions bellow.
Cottage Cheese is a protein base stain. Lucky for us it’s a solid and not a liquid.
Liquid Laundry Detergent.
- Start by scraping off the excess solid cottage cheese without smearing or imbedding it further into the fiber.
- Test a hidden area of the garment for colorfastness. Use a white towel and apply a liquid laundry detergent to the towel. Dab a hidden area of the garment with the towel. Check for color transfer to the towel.
- Apply the liquid laundry detergent directly to the remainder of the cottage cheese stain.
- Tamp (tap) with a brush to help the laundry detergent penetrate the cottage cheese stain.
- Let laundry detergent rest on stain for 5-10 minute to penetrate.
- Step Five: Rinse area with fresh water.
- Launder garment as usual.
Something Stronger – Enzyme Stain Remover – Found at your local grocery store.
- Apply the enzyme stain remover directly to the stain.
- Tamp (tap) with a brush to help the laundry detergent penetrate the cottage cheese stain.
- Let enzyme stain remover rest on stain for 1-2 hours to penetrate.
- Launder garment as usual.
