How to Remove Baby Formula Stains from a Bathrobe.
Baby formula mimics milk and contains proteins that are difficult to remove when it has dried and impossible to remove after it has aged. So as soon as your baby has finished spitting up on you quickly attend to the stain.
Fresh Baby Formula Stain.
Spotting Solution: Vaska Laundry Detergent
- Mix 1 part Vaska laundry detergent with 3 parts water to create a spotting solution.
- Apply the solution directly to the baby formula stain.
- Tamp (Tap) with a brush.
- Let the solution penetrate the baby formula stain for 5-10 minutes.
- Rinse area thoroughly with fresh water.
Dried Baby Formula Stain.
Enzyme Stain Remover: BioKleen’s Bac-Out
- Apply the Bac-Out directly to the baby formula stain.
- Tamp (Tap) with a clean brush.
- Let the Bac-Out penetrate the stain for 1-2 hours. Re-apply if it starts to dry.
- Rinse area thoroughly with fresh water.
- Enzymes take time to work. Repeat if necessary.
For stubborn baby formula stains soak the entire garment in the Bac-Out overnight.
Test First: in a hidden area apply the product to a white towel and dab in a hidden area of the garment. Check the towel to see if any color has transferred over. If the color is sensitive or the material is delicate, you must modify your technique.
Clean the entire garment per care label.
