How to Remove Ravioli Sauce Stains.

How to Remove Ravioli Sauce Stains.

Ravioli’s date back to the 14th Century in letters written by some guy named Francesco di Marco, however if a ravioli stain is that old my best educated guess would be it permanent. So don’t even try to remove the stain. Instead call the local museum to tell them you have an historical artifact.

Test the color of the garment in a hidden area with the spotting solution of choice to see if it is colorfast before apply to garment.

Choice of Products: Dawn Dishwashing Liquid, Heinz Distilled White Vinegar, Enzyme Stain Removers – BioKleen’s Bac-Out or Earth Friendly Product’s Everyday Stain & Odor Remover.

Dawn Dishwashing Liquid

Heinz Distilled White Vinegar

Create a spotting solution with 1 part Dawn Dishwashing Liquid, 3 parts Heinz Distilled White Vinegar, and 3 parts Water.

1.      For a small area apply the solution directly to the ravioli stain.

2.      Tamp (tap) with a brush.

3.      Let the solution penetrate stain for 15-20 minutes.

4.      Launder as normal.

BioKleen Bac-Out

Everyday Stain & Odor Remover

If we are not achieving the results desired then use a stronger product. Enzyme stain removers can be found in the laundry department of most grocery stores.

1.      Apply enzyme stain remover directly to the ravioli stain.

2.      Let it penetrate for 1-2 hours, re apply if it starts to dry out.

3.      Launder as normal.

Soaking the entire garment in the enzyme is a good idea for large stains or to prevent color loss from a specific area. Soak for several hours or overnight.
